Q. Why do I need to replace the handset?

All IPLs use Xenon flash lamps and because the light output of these lamps declines as they age, the lamps can only produce the high energy level needed for treatment for a limited amount of time. iPulse technology only uses each flash lamp for the 10,000 shots that they produce the perfect light spectrum for treatment. Once the lamp goes beyond this limit a replacement handset will need to be purchased from your retailer.

Each iPulse handset lasts for 10,000 shots and are guaranteed to produce consistent light energy throughout the life of the lamp. This reliable consistency is rare amongst IPLs.

Beware of manufacturers who claim very long lamp life (sometimes quoted in the hundreds of thousands of shots). The vast majority of these shots of light will be too low for effective treatment. With iPulse you get 10,000 shots of ideal and equal effectiveness.

Q. How long will a handset last?

Each handset will produce 10,000 flashes of light, each at the same required energy level. Typically 10,000 flashes should allow at least 12 – 16 treatments for two lower legs, two underarms, the bikini line and top lip.

Q. Does the iPulse Personal really use the same technology as professional iPulse machines in beauty salons?

Yes. Both systems use the same iPulse IPL technology to achieve outstanding results. However our professional products allow the trained therapist much greater control of the energy levels and types of light pulses that the IPL produces. This means the professional iPulse IPL that you might find in your local beauty salon can treat a wider range of skin types.
